What You'll Do

- Enhance and maintain big size microservice infrastructure
- Mainly responsible for setting up and developing disaster recovery planning, testing, and architectures aligned with RTO/RPO goals
- Continuous improvements of systems using CI/CD pipeline and automating load testing on a large scale
- Proactively find and suggest technical solutions for improvements in project infrastructure.
- Be part of and contribute to a distributed cross-functional team to bridge the gap between Development and Operations
What You Have
For this role, you are going to be working with our client within a cross-functional team as DevOps Engineer (Platform Engineer), we prefer that you have the following:
- The role requires working hours aligned with Saudi Arabia time zone - 13:00 to 21:00, Sunday to Thursday.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
Core Skills & Technologies
- Cloud Platforms: Proficient in OpenStack , GCP , AWS ,
- Container Orchestration: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, particularly SUSE Rancher
- Databases: Operational expertise in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and ELK Stack
- CI/CD: Skilled in building and managing pipelines with GitLab CI
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficient with Helm and Ansible for configuration management and automation
- Monitoring & Logging: Deep knowledge of observability tools like Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana (ELK), Prometheus, and Grafana
- Scripting & Automation: Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python (Go is a plus)
- Networking & Security: Understanding of VPN, Load Balancers, WAF, and DNS management
- Operational Readiness: Experienced in co-authoring and maintaining runbooks and playbooks for product and project operations
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven track record managing and tuning PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis in production environments
- Solid experience administering SUSE Rancher Kubernetes clusters and enterprise-grade CI/CD workflows
- Familiar with disaster recovery planning, testing, and architectures aligned with RTO/RPO goals
- Knowledge of Saudi NCA and DGA regulatory controls and their impact on DevOps and DR practices
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with modern DevOps tools, cloud environments, and Linux systems
- Exposure to or experience with the following:
- Container Management: Rancher, Docker, Kubernetes
- Data Management: SQL PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB
- Experience in managing the environment through CLI and APIs
- Understanding of the underlying software networking and it's basic capabilities
- Messaging: Kafka, Redis
- Observability: ELK, Prometheus, Grafana
- Scripting: GitLab, Bash, Ruby, Node.js, Golang
- Strong command of GitOps, Helm charts, Kustomize, and system automation using Ansible
