In this role, you'll working primarily in Electrical engineering in product development, design, sustaining, or R&D.
As an Electrical - Electronic Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out required engineering tasks/projects, according to company and international standards and procedures and providing timely communications on significant issues or developments to Project Teams and Engineering Management
- Following company guidelines to create, review and approve engineering parts, documentation, procedures, reports, designs and requirements documentation.
- Reviewing and responding to technical queries.
- Ensuring the timely completion of design packages, taking responsibility for quality and safety which meets clients and industry specifications.
- Working to the required industry standards and promoting and ensuring compliance to all company, customer and regulatory requirements
- Executing the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
- Writing of documents / test procedures / drawings: Such as Equipment Functional Design Specifications; Equipment Design Requirement Lists; Equipment Data Sheets; Electrical Wiring diagrams and schematics; Electrical Test Procedures and Test Plans.
- Managing Equipment BOMs / Bills of Materials
- Managing Electrical and Electronic calculations and analyses of power consumption and electrical communications
- Designing and developing of Electronic Systems, overseeing project completion, potential of site visits (including the possible of international travel - though this is not frequent)
- Complying with company SHE and Operating Policies and Procedures and relevant standards where applicable and appropriate (e.g., API, ASME, ANSI, ISO, IET, ATEX OSHAS NORSOK CompEx, OSHAS (NFPA 70E).
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have HNC/D or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Have experience within an engineering environment.
- Have experience with Analogue and Digital Electronics, PCBA level designs and working with both AC and DC systems
- Have knowledge & experience within engineering, risk management, HSE and QA
- Have experience with electronic schematics and single line diagrams
- Have experience with electrical and electronic component selection
- Have experience and knowledge of electronic systems and relevant typical product design
- Have an understanding of electrical and electronics principles
- Have proficiency in electrical design software
- Demonstrate detailed knowledge of relevant International & National Regulations (e.g. IEC, CE)
- Be fully fluent in English
- Have good analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to investigative skills to be able to find Root Causes of design related issues and propose robust corrective actions
- Be flexible in applying different approaches to changing work demands and be capable of working effectively in teams
- Be competent in applying company & industrial standards into engineering designs
