The Role
Ensure the quality and stability of the intelligent embedded control and monitoring system running on a Linux Embedded platform by designing, executing, and reporting detailed test cases.
- Analyze system requirements and design documents to determine the scope of testing.
- Design and execute test cases for complex functions such as:
- Inter-module and inter-center communication.
- Data collection and security.
- Perform testing on real devices (main board running Linux), including:
- SSH into devices to check logs, service status.
- Use Linux commands to check processes and system resources.
- Test communication between devices over the local network.
- Record and analyze errors from system logs (dmesg, journalctl, syslog…).
- Write test reports and propose improvements to the testing process.
What will you bring to the team
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Electronics & Telecommunications, Automation, or related fields.
- 3+ years of experience in software or embedded systems testing.
- Solid understanding of embedded/control systems running on Linux.
- Proficient in basic Linux commands and system log analysis.
- Familiar with communication protocols such as RS-485, RS-232, CAN, MQTT, TCP/IP.
- Skilled in writing clear, reusable, and maintainable test cases.
- Experience working with real devices (e.g., hardware-in-the-loop testing) is a plus.
- ISTQB Foundation or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.
- Good English communication skills for reading technical documents, writing test reports, and collaborating with global teams.
