Your responsibilities
- Deliver English training classes following the defined curriculum
- Assess English skills before learners' enrollment and at the end of the course
- Coordinate with the Learning & Development Department to organize classes (schedule, admission, assessment, survey, etc.) and other activities such as the speaking club/contest
- Report to the L&D manager on activities, including:
- Learning survey
- Training status
- Analysis of training effectiveness and proposals for improvement
- Other statistics and reports as requested
- Review and correct English texts or documents from other departments, such as newsletters, internal communications, and social media posts (<10% of effort)
- Develop and continuously improve English training programs for different levels of learners, such as communication, presentation, business writing, etc.
- Interview candidates for recruitment to assess their English communication skills
Your qualifications
- Native English speaker with a neutral accent (ideally USA)
- Holder of one of the following certificates or diplomas:
- CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults - Cambridge)
- TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)
- DELTA (Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults) - advanced, for experienced teachers
- Skills assessment: assess learners' English skills pre- and post-class to direct them to the appropriate curriculum
- Curriculum design: collect the goals of learners, assess their needs, and propose tailored classes, such as interviewing for a job, writing a business email, attending online meetings, delivering tech-talks…
- ESP: experience in teaching Business English or ESP (English for Specific Purposes)
- Flexibility: adapt training material and schedule to the different populations (Gen-Z, senior, etc.)
- Digital tools: leverage modern training tools such as GoFluent, AI, podcasts, etc.
- Passionate about teaching English and improving learners' skills
- Time management: self-organize and work autonomously
- Curiosity: Open to learn new skills and trying new teaching methods
- Others:
- Support other departments in reviewing English documents
- Interview candidates to assess their English skills
Nice to have
- Experience in information technology, human resources, or customer service
- Knowledge of workplace communication: emails, meetings, negotiations, presentations, small talk, etc.
