The Full-stack Tech Lead (React / Node.js) collaborates with the Tech Solution Architect Lead or directly with the client side CTO to provide architectural solutions, technical consultation, and support system implementations. This role ensures development teams receive the guidance needed to maintain high engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support CTO in platform development and team growth
- Own project planning, delivery, and technical architecture decisions
- Lead technical discussions and whiteboard complex solutions
- Design and implement complex data models and system architecture
- Advocate for proper development practices and mentor team members
- Collaborate with product team on feature planning and definition
Qualifications:
- 8+ years in software engineering, with at least 2-3 years as a solution architect or equivalent role.
- Full-stack expertise with strong proficiency in TypeScript, React (frontend), and Node.js (backend)
- Infrastructure knowledge: Cloud architecture, deployment, scalability (GCP/AWS), Kubernetes, Terraform
- Technical leadership - ability to whiteboard solutions, foresee technical challenges, and make strategic architectural decisions
- Complex data modeling - experience designing and working with sophisticated data structures and architectures
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB etc.)
- Knowledge of Cloud services such as Google Cloud or AWS
- Organizing and structuring platform code to make it highly efficient, maintainable and reusable
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- A can-do attitude with a willingness to work hard, both on your own and as part of a team
- Soft skills & communication - able to explain solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and engage with clients to understand business needs.
- Ownership mindset - proactive in taking responsibility and ensuring quality delivery.
- Certifications (optional) - programming or cloud (AWS, GCP) certifications are a plus.
Desirable:
- Complex systems experience in financial, banking, or sustainability sectors
- AI knowledge and application in business systems
- Keep up to date with relevant technology and terminology
- Willing to learn but also to coach others where possible.
