The role
We are looking for an experienced Windows Application Engineer to join our team, focusing on maintaining and enhancing existing Windows-based desktop applications. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise in C# and C++, and a passion for solving complex problems in a collaborative environment.
- Maintain and support legacy Windows desktop applications in a cross-functional team.
- Investigate and resolve software issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement bug fixes.
- Optimize application performance and improve code quality.
- Collaborate with QA engineers to design and execute test plans for maintenance updates.
- Refactor and enhance existing codebase while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
- Document technical changes, fixes, and enhancements clearly and thoroughly.
- Share technical knowledge and provide support to team members when needed.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical field.
- Proficiency in C# and C++ programming.
- At least 5 years of experience in Windows application development.
- Solid understanding of Windows application architecture and software development lifecycle.
- Good command of English, especially in reading and writing technical documentation.
- Experience with COM and MFC programming.
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with PHP development.
- Knowledge of database systems such as SQL Server or MySQL
