About the Department
The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.
Job Objectives
The role of IT Network Engineer will design, implement, support, monitor and upgrade computer networks to ensure they are secure, stable and high performing. They work closely with other teams such as infrastructure engineers, software developers, security specialists, and business stakeholders to deliver network solutions that meet business needs.

Job Responsibilities
- Working with Project team to come up with network design, implementation timeline based on business requirements.
- Troubleshooting and resolving network issues in a timely manner.
- Monitoring network performance and ensuring it meets service level agreements (SLAs). Upgrading hardware and software components to improve network reliability and speed.
- Collaborating with vendors and external partners for network-related projects.
- Documenting network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
- Organize and schedule maintenance without deterring others from completing their own work.
- Provide technical direction to co-workers on computer and network usage and offer comprehensive advice and instructions.
- Managing subcontractors involved in network implementation.
- Performs analysis and diagnosis of Complex Networking problems.
- Support Network portions in Regional and local Disaster recovery exercise.
- Work with relevant team in VA screening and patching.
Job Requirements
- English proficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in a network engineer/ administration role.
- Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies
- Experience with Cisco switches and routers.
- Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds or Cisco Works.
- MCSA/MCSE/CCNP qualifications are strongly preferred
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Good time management skills
