And as the Junior Packaging Engineer, you’ll be responsible to support the development, validation, and maintenance of packaging and carton marking standards in alignment with Article’s requirements.Why We Need You:
In the Industrial Engineering Team, the Junior Packaging Engineer will involve close collaboration with suppliers, internal teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure packaging quality, compliance, and efficiency.

While, we sell to the North American market, we work closely with a number of our manufacturing partners throughout Asia. As a result we have an office in Thao Dien, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam where we currently have around 65 Particles (people of Article) working.

What You’ll Do:
You’ll be part of a team of 2 people, working to design, test, and optimize packaging solutions for furniture products to ensure safe transportation, cost efficiency, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.- Request, review, and validate carton marking and BOM packaging specifications, as well as testing reports from suppliers, to ensure compliance with Article’s standards. Maintain and update related documentation in the PINFO system.
- Communicate with suppliers on a daily basis. 40% travel to suppliers in HCMC and other regions of Vietnam is required.
- Assist senior engineers in maintaining and updating packaging and carton marking standards. Stay informed of Article’s policies and best practices.
- Analyze customer needs, anticipate issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions using insights and relevant information to support informed decisions.
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve team goals, build trust, and support Article’s strategy through active listening, idea sharing, and feedback integration.
Who You Are:
- 2+ years’ packaging design/development experience, preferably in the furniture industry.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
- Strong data analysis skills (Tableau/Power BI is a plus).
- Solid packaging materials knowledge; corrugated, honeycomb, foam (EPE/EPS/PE), wood crate, plastic, palletization.
- Familiar with FedEx 6A, 3B testing standards.
- Good English communication (written & verbal).
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, cross-functionally, and with overseas suppliers.
