- Follows complex defined test plans and datasheets utilizing a single technology with necessary support. Evaluates
test performance and sample operation to properly evaluate test results. Records and explains test results and
completes test report. - Serves as Lead for test programs as assigned. Communicates project status and results as needed. Holds
responsibility for defining test plan, report completion and accuracy, meeting of agreed deadlines, and managing
project related activities. - Examines complex customer samples and learns to operate appropriate tests for each case. Communicates with
internal customers during setup and operation to ensure proper evaluation. - Understands and is able to explain specific test standards for scope of responsibility
- Directs, builds and/or adapts test setups, sample preparations/solutions and instruments for assigned work, based on
test plans and instructions from engineering. - Operates and maintains complex test instruments appropriately to measure and test customer samples. Performs
complex maintenance on designated test instruments and laboratory area. May perform complex calibration of test
instruments - Integrates basic continuous improvement concepts and techniques for both process and instruments. Communicates
with management and technical staff to provide suggestions for new instruments, processes, and forms to improve
accuracy and efficiencies. - Assists Senior Laboratory Chemists in the implementation / validation of new test methods and follows safe chemical
hygiene practices. - Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices

- Bachelor’s degree or diploma from an accredited university through a formal program of study in Chemistry & Analytical Chemistry' with generally two years of directly related work experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Extensive hands-on experience with LCMSMS method development and validation is highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of analytical chemistry principles and method optimization.
- Knowledge of SVHC and CHCC testing requirements and regulations.
- Experience in the Food Contact Materials (FCM) field is a significant advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
