- Manage the APAC Regional Technical Support Department (i.e. Electrical technologies, Mechanical, Rotorblade, Grid Operations, Wind Farm Control, SCADA, Concrete activities)
- Organization and communication of the department
- Staff management and development (e.g. hiring, training, leave applications, evaluations…)
- Optimize the availability and effectiveness of the 1st and 2nd level technical support to the local entities.
- Establish the technical support department as the go-to department for technical matters related to the fleet.
- Implement all necessary actions required to fulfil the short term and as well strategic goals decided in the regional management team.
- Develop tools, methods, documentation and processes in order to improve the qualitative and efficient handling of technical issues and instructing and advising of relevant internal departments.
- Establish a structure approach & work with the technical departments in Germany and local technical support to organize a structured approach to solutions for long running technical problems that are specific to the region (i.e. generator damages, damages of fan and inverter cabinets, tower and stairs rust etc.). Engage possible local solution providers and suppliers.
- Establish Task forces where necessary.
- Act as the interface with GS for product Management.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for monitoring the contractual technical performance of a wind farm by analyzing performance data, providing periodic or on-demand reports and advice for both the sub-region, the country and the after sales organization.
- Provision of all necessary technical input (with involvement of internal specialists) to the After Sales department on deviations of wind farm performance and/or feedback on customer requests or inspections.
- Give Technical guidance on priorities and needs to the Sub-region management (HSE- FAM).
- Development of tools, methods, documentation and processes in order to improve the qualitative and efficient handling of technical issues and instructing and advising of relevant internal departments.
- Give Technical guidance on priority and needs to the Sub region management (HS- FAM).
- Ensure technical performance (e.g. KPI) of the region.
- Provide all relevant technical inputs to the Sales & after-sales department regarding deviations from the fleet contractual obligations, customer requests or customer inspections (internal specialists may have to be involved).
- Support the HSE and legal regional and corporate functions to ensure the HSE and Legal conformity of the managed department and supervised equipment’s.
- Ensure the continual improvement culture within your area of responsibility and cross functional department to ensure that high quality knowledge is retained and improved, facilitating feedback to required stakeholders across the business.
- Engage in the technical investigation team after a major wind turbine damage.
- Responsible for annual Budget of the Department.
