Job Responsibilities
Corporate Governance
Support Head of Legal to maintain and update the governance framework, monitoring compliance with requirements in framework, coordinating governance committee and MC’s meetings, monitoring certain business processes, establishing and maintaining a record of operational procedures manuals, and analyzing monthly reports; facilitating the flow of information; provide key information to managers, MC’s members and committees; Liaise with MC members and fulfill their requests for information.
Legal Advisory
Provide legal advice and support to the business while keeping in mind the PVA’s strategic and business objectives. Provide direction and guidance to facilitate PVA’s compliance with all applicable international and domestic laws, rules and regulations. Collaborate with the Senior Legal Manager/Head of Legal to establish, disseminate and implement PVA’s legal policies. Complete legal tasks and projects in a timely manner and respond to legal queries assigned by the Senior Legal Counsel/Head of Legal.

Draft, review and negotiate contracts and other legal documents in order to maximize PVA’s legal protections whilst simultaneously minimizing legal risks. Produce and regularly update standardized legal agreements, contracts and standard terms and conditions for the PVA in compliance with international best practices and applicable legal requirements. Assist the business in launching new products and conducts legal and regulatory due diligence on such products.

Stay abreast of new laws and regulations through continuous legal education, attend professional conferences, and participate in professional associations. Provide updates to PVA’s Management on new legislation and regulatory developments that may have an impact on PVA and advise on how to comply with such new legislation and regulations.

Knowledge Sharing
Work closely and develops a positive professional relationship with the other members of the legal function and shares legal knowledge and best practices with legal colleagues, including providing formal and informal training sessions at the direction of the Senior Legal Manager/Head of Legal.

Stakeholder Management
Liaise with external law firms and relevant authorities (such as courts/prosecutor's office) to ensure the effective resolution of all legal matters affecting PVA.

- Bachelor of Law
Experience / Kinh nghiệm
- At least 5 years of experience working in a law firm or in-house legal department, with a strong understanding of insurance industry.
- Experience in financial services industry.
- Strong experience in dealing with litigation and customer complaints.
