At Manulife Vietnam, we are on a mission to make decisions easier and lives better. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Legal Manager to join our dynamic legal team. This role will support a wide range of legal matters across the business, ensuring compliance, managing legal risks, and enabling strategic initiatives.
Position Responsibilities
Provide legal advice and support on a broad range of operational matters across the business.
Respond to day-to-day legal inquiries from various departments and levels of the organization.
Conduct legal research and provide well-reasoned opinions to Senior Counsel.
Monitor and analyze legislative, regulatory, and industry developments; provide timely updates and guidance.
Draft, review, and (where applicable) participate in the negotiation of contracts and legal documents.
Represent the company in industry conferences and contribute to legal presentations and knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications:
A qualified lawyer, licensed to practice law in Vietnam, and in good standing with the Bar.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in financial services, insurance, or a multinational environment.
Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication in both Vietnamese and English.
Ability to identify legal risks and provide practical, business-oriented solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of financial principles and risk management is a plus.
Discreet, tactful, and able to work with a high degree of professionalism and integrity.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
