Get to Know the Team
Grab For Business team is building the solutions used by enterprise customers and employees to access Grab offerings such as ride hailing, food deliveries, gift cards and more. We are a team built with transparent and stay informed about relevant technology trends and developments, striving for building the products that our users love to use everyday. In next year, we have goals to expand our customer segments, offer richer user experience and contribute more to the success of Grab.
Get to Know the Role
You will work with other experienced engineers on the team to develop our backend services, ensure the robustness and of the system which provides APIs used by several mobile and web app. You will be reporting to an engineering manager who is based in Vietnam. You will work onsite in CMC Creative Space office.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
You will work with the product/design/business team to understand requirements, provide product feedback, own and implement the product from start to finish.
You will create and participate in technical discussions with other engineering teams.
You will write code that is reusable, scalable and testable. Make sure products are delivered on time and with high quality.
You will collaborate with QAs to make sure all product requirements are met and the deployments are stable.
You will ensure the system robustness, have an eye on continuous integration and observability
You will review code from other team members, provide constructive feedback and aim to raise the engineering bar.
You will improve the codebase, look for improvement opportunities, propose and set better engineering solutions for the team.
You will be responsible and responsive during on-call duty. Debug and troubleshoot production issues
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
You have a Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent. Good Computer Science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
You will have at least 5+ years of experience in software engineering in a distributed systems environment.
Experience shipping products (like web applications or backend services) to production and running production services
Proficiency in Golang, including core syntax, concurrency handling, and optimization techniques. Otherwise you can be a good coder in any language but willing to learn and work on Golang
Experience with RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL), cloud services (AWS, GCP), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation).You have knowledge of cloud technologies and experience developing and deploying services on the cloud
Proficiency in using AI tools and coding agents to boost your productivity
Familiarity with Agile development, CI/CD pipelines, Gitlab and its testing frameworks
