BUSINESS UNIT
The HRS Business Travel Club (BTC) is the Business Unit managing and developing the HRS E-Commerce platforms of the well-known hotel portal businesses of HRS.de and HOTEL.DE that gradually transform into much more than “just” a platform. BTC provides its members, individual business travelers and SMEs, with a distinct range of exclusive services, which shape tomorrow´s upgraded travel experience. The goal of BTC is to deliver growth as well as sustainable profitability over time by enhancing customer loyalty between the brand and its customers, enabling the Brands Repositioning in the marketplace and unlocking additional potentials via optimized supplier management. Thus, BTC and its products, plays an important role in HRS´s DACH strategy as it revolves around a disruption of the interplay between hotel and workplace supply and e-commerce and a domination of the Business Travel DACH market. Your mission is to further develop and shape the "The HRS Business Travel Club" and its solutions and make it the next innovation of the HRS Group together within a great team!
POSITION
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Team Lead to head a cross-functional product team in Ho Chi Minh City, comprising frontend, backend, mobile, QA, and DevOps engineers.
You will work in a product trio with a Product Manager and Product Designer, ensuring smooth delivery and meaningful discovery. Together, you will focus on building solutions that are not only technically sound but also deeply aligned with customer needs and business outcomes. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders in Germany and international teams, ensuring both business impact and technical excellence.
As a leader, you’ll coach your team in agile practices, modern software development, and the effective use of generative AI tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot). You’ll also participate hands-on in the full development lifecycle, making architectural decisions, reviewing code, and contributing to cross-team alignment on shared components and cloud-native solutions.
You are expected to foster a customer-centric mindset within the team, ensuring that engineering decisions contribute to a better user experience and tangible value.
CHALLENGE
- Lead, grow, and mentor a cross-functional engineering team to deliver high-quality products in an agile setup.
- Be part of the product trio (Engineering Team Lead, Product Manager and Product Designer) to shape features and roadmaps with strong technical input
- Work closely with stakeholders in Germany and other global teams, ensuring alignment and transparency.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and high-performance within your team.
- Guide the team in data–driven, modern web development practices and DevOps principles
- Coach the team on leveraging modern development tools and AI-assisted workflows.
- Align with other team leads and product teams to develop and maintain shared components.
- Promote engineering best practices: CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, observability.
- Contribute to technical architecture and strategic decisions, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Collaborate with other business units for alignment and efficient resource utilization.
FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH...
- Proven experience as a team lead or engineering manager including people leadership (>3y), ideally in an agile product development environment.
- A true team player with a hands-on mentality and passion for mentoring and growing engineers.
- Strong technical background with deep knowledge in modern web development, especially Next.js and/or Flutter and Java.
- Broad understanding of the software development lifecycle and DevOps principles (T-shaped skill profile).
- Solid knowledge of AWS cloud services and experience working in cloud-native environments.
- Strong understanding of business-driven development and a pragmatic mindset for balancing speed and quality.
- Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable working across time zones and cultures, and managing stakeholder relationships internationally.

LOCATION, MOBILITY, INCENTIVE
The attractive remuneration is in line with the market and, in addition to a fixed monthly salary, all necessary work equipment and mobility, will also include an annual or multi-year bonus.
