Your job:
The Traceability Analyst will play a key role in Brooks commitment to deepen its supply chain visibility– integral for Brooks accomplishing its Responsible Sourcing goals. With an eagerness and passion for understanding complex and constantly changing supply chains, this role will support Brooks’ traceability program that will provide the foundation to ensure compliance to Brooks’ Supplier Code of Conduct, applicable legislation and trade regulations.
With a focus on ensuring Brooks has continued visibility into its manufacturing supply chain, including the collection of complete and accurate data and understanding relationships between suppliers, you will also support material and product traceability programs that will drive compliance to Brooks’ materials and sourcing policies and global laws and regulations. This role is part of the Corporate Responsibility team and works collaboratively with legal, trade compliance, sourcing, and product creation teams.
Your Responsibilities:
- Launch seasonal product traceability supply chain mapping and purchase order tracing requests to gather supply chain data from production suppliers.
- Launch complete traceability requests for high-risk styles as risks are uncovered.
- Review all traceability requests for completeness and accuracy to show the chain of custody at the product level; follow up with suppliers to address any identified gaps.
- Own relationship with in-scope suppliers by maintaining consistent and timely communication through email, and virtual and in-person meetings to ensure suppliers fully understand and comply with Brooks’ traceability expectations.
- Lead supplier onboarding and training in the traceability platform.
- Maintain supplier traceability guidelines, including translating them as needed.
- Collaborate with Legal, Trade Compliance and Sourcing teams to support the resolution of traceability issues and risk mitigation strategies through communicating directly with suppliers.
- Collaborate with traceability software team to test new technology solutions to streamline requests and to ensure Brooks’ traceability requirements are accurately reflected in the tool.
- Research industry trends and regulations related to traceability to inform traceability program strategy.
- Own updates to Brooks’ public factory list.
- Contribute to efforts to visualize and capture the product journey along every step of Brooks’ manufacturing supply chain to reveal the story behind every item – how it’s made, where it’s been and the thoughtful considerations made at every stage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in corporate responsibility, sustainability, environmental studies, supplier sourcing strongly preferred
- 3+ years’ experience in sustainability, social compliance, supply chain, or relevant work, preferably within the footwear, apparel, or textile industry
- Professional proficiency in English and Mandarin
- Good understanding of footwear and apparel manufacturing supply chains
- Excellent quantitative analytical skills and a passion for data driven approaches
- Keen attention to detail in planning, organization, and execution of tasks, while still seeing the big picture and understanding how all the pieces fit together and affect one another.
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Ability to create strong and meaningful relationships with stakeholders including internal teams, suppliers, and any other 3rd party organizations to drive change
- Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient skills in MS Office suite and other data analysis and visualization programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
