British American Tobacco has an exciting opportunity for Corporate Finance Manager in BAT Vietnam
What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?
This role will be responsible to handle the Corporate Finance, Management & Financial Reporting, Accounting, Tax & Treasury, and Internal Compliance function of Representative Office of BATMs (and other legal entities if required) in Vietnam. The role is also encouraged to coordinate the process of consolidation of all management and financial reports and drive the coordination among Finance teams.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Business
- Handle day-to-day financial operations and provide timely and accurate Financial and Management information in compliance with GMAAP and company policies and procedures
- Develop quality management reports to provide critical and timely information to management for commercial decision making
- Develop and implement budgetary control to ensure company resources are well invested in the functions of finance, IT and admin budgets
- Formulate appropriate fiscal/legal structure to ensure maximum tax efficiency by evaluating tax risks and proposing course of action to senior management
- Develop internal control practices and ensure adherence
- Monitor the capital structure & develop proposals to improve the financial performance of Rep office (and other legal entities as required) operation
- Provide reporting and planning support to DRBU and Region
- Handle the external audit and tax audit
- Lead all aspects of the assessment of insurable exposures for BAMTS assets in VN.
- Ensure the insurance declaration is OTIF reported & insurance policy is issued in line with the Group and local requirements
- Proactively participates and support the identification, assessment, management and monitoring of risks
- Promote the need of risk management being closely linked to real decision making & resource allocation process
- Lead the compilation of the company plan and any other ad hoc requests
- Monitor & assess impact from development in IFRS and local GAAP
- Support stakeholders to understand the accounting implications of large projects or significant events on local, regional & Group results
People
- Provide inspirational leadership to the business by establishing clear goals and direction for team consistent with company strategy
- Provide a high-reaching, encouraging and achievement focused environment for the finance team
- Strong working relationships with cross functional employee and working directly with VLT and at times DRBU's partners
- Establish and regularly review development plans for self and team, including capability building through coaching, conducting capability gap analysis (leadership & functional), and proactively implementing development plans to meet expected skill and knowledge levels.
- Ensure the delivery of the departmental objectives through appropriate resource allocation, staff development, coaching & mentoring.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accountancy, or a related field; professional accountancy qualification is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a similar finance role.
- Strong understanding of financial management principles and proficiency with financial systems (SAP experience preferred).
- Excellent interpersonal abilities, including influencing, analytical thinking, problem solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong administrative and organizational capabilities, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Proven leadership skills, with a track record of driving new initiatives and championing change.
- Ability to coach and develop high-performing teams, and work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally
