Job Description
Universal Accountabilities
- Leads Customs compliance initiatives and ensures administrative requirements for EPE, especially Customs report generation and submission and relating risks short-term and long-term solutions.
- Deep understanding on Customs related regulation and EPE operation to provide recommendations to keep the company compliant and ease business.
- Ensure Customs requirements and Customs relating processes complied.
- Frequent report to Management on risks of inventory balance, declaration relating and other business impact relating.
- Lead and the organization’s implementation of trade compliance best practices.
Specific Accountabilities
- Generate and archive monthly reconciliation reports and work with stakeholders to correct any gaps between data declared vs internal records.
- Publish quarterly reports following F15/F15a/F16 and inventory gaps quantified in value.
- Regularly share regulation screening and highlight potential risks for mitigation.
- Responsibility and oversight of post-entry audits and critical trade data to ensure compliance with local regulations.
- To conduct audits for Customs relating processes and KPIs complied to provide improvement recommendations.
- Leads Trade Compliance support to the Organization by providing trade compliance analysis and interpretation related to matters for the site with Customs Manager oversight.
- Ensures export, import and sanctions compliance procedures are accurate and revised as required.
- Has direct oversight of XP VN import and export compliance programs.
- Develop Customs relating compliance training and material and deliver training for key stakeholders.
- Ensures appropriate recordkeeping procedures are in place to compliance with local regulations.
- Support self-declaration when needed.
- May also perform additional duties as assigned
Familiar with Vietnam Import and Export Process and Procedures and Vietnam authority's requirements.
Qualifications
- Required Skills and Experience
- Fluence in English and Vietnamese (both Read and Write).
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 3-5 years trade compliance experience.
- Extensive knowledge of EPE Compliance and Customs management and the effects of trade compliance activities across responsible areas.
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders both in written and verbal formats
- Results Oriented
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong MS Office products knowledge (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)
Good collaboration skills and ability to gain trust and confidence from peers and leadership
