ZALORA Engineering is looking for software engineers to work on the backend services that power the mobile apps.

We are seeking a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer/Site Reliability Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our infrastructure and deployment processes to ensure reliability, scalability, and efficiency across development and production environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
- Maintain and improve cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP).
- Automate routine operational tasks and reduce manual intervention.
- Ensure infrastructure and services meet performance and security standards.
- Handle incident response and root cause analysis for production issues.
- Maintain documentation for infrastructure, deployment procedures, and operational processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 4+ years of experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
- Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a mindset focused on automation and scalability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in monitoring, alerting, and log aggregation tools (e.g., ELK stack, Datadog).
- Knowledge of database administration (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
- Exposure to Agile development practices and tools like Jira or Confluence.
- Certifications in GCP is a plus
