POSITION OVERVIEW:
The role is responsible for developing and executing a targeted engagement strategy that aligns with business objectives and meets the needs of healthcare professionals (HCPs). This includes strategic planning, budget management, and leading cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective implementation. The position also involves building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including KOLs and medical associations, while driving team development and performance to support ongoing career growth and organizational success.
PRIMARY ACTIVITIES
Formulate a targeted engagement strategy that not only aligns with overarching business objectives but also effectively addresses the needs and preferences of healthcare professionals (HCPs):
- Strategic Alignment: Ensure that the engagement strategy is closely integrated with key business goals, fostering a mutually beneficial relationship with HCPs.
- Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough research to identify and understand the specific needs and preferences of HCPs, enabling tailored engagement initiatives.
- Implementation Roadmap: Create a detailed roadmap for execution, outlining clear timelines and milestones.
- Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of the engagement strategy and make data-driven adjustments as necessary.
Budget and Expense Oversight:
- Collaborative Budget Planning: Engage in a collaborative budget planning process that aligns HCP engagement initiatives with broader financial objectives, ensuring resource allocation supports strategic priorities.
- Expense Monitoring and Reporting: Implement a robust system for monitoring and reporting expenses, ensuring adherence to the allocated budget and identifying any variances promptly.
- Cost Optimization: Proactively identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements, enhancing the overall effectiveness of HCP engagement initiatives.
Execution Excellence Management:
- Project Leadership: Lead project management efforts to ensure HCP engagement initiatives are executed on time and meet defined objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive delivery and comprehensive support for engagement initiatives.
- Performance Tracking and Quality Assurance: Monitor performance against established KPIs and implement quality assurance processes and compliance measures to uphold high standards.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Internal Alignment: Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and strategic alignment across all HCP engagement efforts.
- Partnership Development: Build and nurture relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and medical associations to enhance credibility and expand outreach.
Team Development and Coaching:
- Goal Setting and Performance Reviews: Establish clear development goals for team members and conduct regular performance reviews to assess progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Training and Professional Development: Facilitate training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance team capabilities, knowledge, and overall effectiveness.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
- 5+ years in healthcare engagement, medical affairs, or related roles.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, budget management, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience working with HCPs, KOLs, and managing teams.
Competencies:
- Strong strategic thinking and project management skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management.
- Budget oversight and data-driven decision-making.
- Leadership in team development and performance management.
- Knowledge of healthcare compliance and industry standards.
