The team
Hitachi Digital Services Vietnam is part of a 300 strong global delivery network, supporting Hitachi Digital Services around the globe. Our employees collaborate with teams in Japan, India, Portugal, and the US, servicing customers worldwide and working on a huge variety of projects. From cloud migration to digital modernization and advanced analytics, offering operational excellence, agile delivery, and plenty of energy to work on huge transformation projects for our customers.
The role
The Japanese Delivery Manager is a crucial role that ensures the successful on-time and on-budget delivery of projects to clients. This role is acting as leaders, facilitators, and problem-solvers.
- Lead end-to-end project delivery, managing timelines, scope, risks, and budgets.
- Apply Japanese project management standards to ensure quality and compliance.
- Track and resolve issues, manage resource planning, and maintain performance goals.
- Communicate effectively with Japanese stakeholders and internal teams.
- Identify and mitigate delivery risks and scope changes proactively.
- Ensure all deliverables meet quality, technical, and contractual expectations.
- Maintain project documentation and reporting.
What you’ll bring
- Extensive experience leading end-to-end software delivery for enterprise clients.
- Proven ability to manage project scope, quality, budget, and schedule.
- Deep understanding of software development life cycle and delivery best practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both English and Japanese (JLPT N2 or higher preferred)
- Cross-cultural competence and experience working with Japanese stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to mentor project managers and teams.
- Ability to identify growth opportunities and drive account expansion.
- Has experience (managing/developing) on Printing Domain is a great plus.
- PMP, Scrum Master, or relevant certifications are advantages.
