Position: Jewelry Designer – New Women’s Collection
Location: Remote
Job Type: Contract
About Patrick Adair Designs
Patrick Adair Designs is a direct-to-consumer jewelry brand that transforms exotic materials—meteorite, carbon fiber, glowstone, dinosaur bone, and precious metals—into conversation-starting rings and accessories. Our team blends craftsmanship with cutting-edge design and data-driven eCommerce to create pieces that stand out.
The Role
We are seeking a talented, style-forward Jewelry Designer to lead the creation of an entirely new women’s jewelry collection—including necklaces, stackable rings, and bracelets—that complements our existing core line.
This is a rare opportunity to own the design vision for a full collection from concept to launch. You’ll be responsible for setting the aesthetic tone, developing designs that align with our brand DNA, and working closely with our internal workshop and manufacturing partners to bring each piece to life. The success of this collection could lead to continued collaboration and the potential for a long-term role.
Key Responsibilities
Collection Development – Create a cohesive women’s collection that pairs beautifully with our core product line while standing on its own.
Design & Ideation – Produce mood boards, hand sketches, and CAD designs that embody a modern, elevated aesthetic.
3D Modeling & Specs – Deliver production-ready CAD files with precise tolerances and stone settings (Rhino, MatrixGold, ZBrush, or similar).
Prototyping & Iteration – Collaborate with our in-house workshop and vendors to develop prototypes, refining based on fit, comfort, and visual impact.
Material Exploration – Incorporate exotic, reclaimed, or innovative materials while ensuring quality and durability.
Launch Preparation – Partner with marketing to shape the storytelling, creative direction, and launch strategy for the collection.
Trend Awareness – Track women’s fashion and jewelry trends, blending current style insights with our brand’s unique material palette.
What You’ll Bring
3+ years of professional jewelry design experience (fine or fashion); portfolio required.
Expertise in CAD software (Rhino, MatrixGold, ZBrush, or comparable).
Strong understanding of casting, stone-setting, and finishing processes.
Proven ability to design for proportion, comfort, and wearability in women’s jewelry.
Ability to manage multiple projects with tight timelines.
Bonus: Experience designing with unconventional materials (e.g., meteorite, carbon fiber, wood, opal) or for small-batch/direct-to-consumer brands.
Who Thrives in This Role
You are a visionary designer who can translate trends and brand DNA into a cohesive, commercially successful collection. You thrive when given the freedom to create while navigating the practical constraints of materials, manufacturing, and timelines. You’re as comfortable in CAD software as you are presenting design concepts and collaborating across teams.
