Job Title: Junior Project Manager, Vietnam

The role of the Junior Project Manager is to support Project Manager (Vietnam) and Country Director Vietnam with the expansion and growth of The Centre towards global and local brands, particularly in Vietnam, by assuring timely project implementation and reporting with quality, supporting the delivery and organizing of trainings, conducting the research and assessment work.
This role is a full-time post and preferably based in HCMC , Vietnam.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
The position includes but is not limited to the following specific tasks:
1. Support in implementing projects in Vietnam, to guarantee the smooth implementation of the projects, including
- Support in preparing work plans and submit project-related reports for clients (e.g. progress report, baseline/endline assessment reports, impact reports, etc.) and for internal The Centre (e.g. KPIs, project status updates).
- Liaise with stakeholders such as buyers (brands and retailers), supplying factories, plantation and refineries, external consultants or implementing partners or local collaborators, community-based organizations and community leaders, etc. to ensure quality and timely project execution.
- Support to Conduct and facilitate training/capacity building/workshop as required by the project.
- Support the data collection of research works (impact assessment, risks/needs assessment) under the supervision and guidance of Project Manager and Director-level in-charge. Further, support the data analysis as needed.
- Prepare the logistic and clerical needs of training sessions
- Bring to the attention of the Country Director Vietnam, and where necessary, the VP Services Asia, of all challenges in a timely manner and propose solutions and alternative strategies for achieving results.
- Contribute to the creation and sharing of knowledge by summarizing and documenting results, lessons learned and good practices from the implementation of the project.
2. Regularly update The Centre’s Vietnam factsheet, and continuous research on child rights and related legal provision.
3. Provide local logistic support for events and visits.
4. Participate and represent The Centre in events, conferences, meetings as decided in cooperation with the Country Director (Vietnam).
5. Require traveling from time to time (mostly domestic).
6. Perform other related duties as assigned.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree or higher in social science, business development or business management.
- A minimum 5 years of proven experience in a similar role with international exposure is a MUST.
- Experience in conducting social audits/assessments is strongly preferred.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; strong and proven skills as a trainer and facilitator is preferred.
- Good command of both verbal and written English and Vietnamese, knowledge in other South Asian languages a plus.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly trustworthy and capable of handling highly sensitive and confidential information.
- Solid problem-solving and team management abilities
- Good computer skills, Microsoft office etc
