Job Description
We are seeking a professional and decisive Lifeguard Supervisor to join our team at a premier beach resort in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the safety and well-being of guests and staff in our aquatic facilities, whilst leading a team of lifeguards.
- Supervise and manage a team of lifeguards, ensuring optimal coverage and performance
- Develop and implement safety protocols and emergency response procedures
- Conduct regular training sessions and drills to maintain team readiness
- Monitor water conditions and weather patterns to assess potential risks
- Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of pool areas and beach facilities
- Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies and provide first aid when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, rescues, and daily operations
- Liaise with resort management to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Educate guests on water safety and enforce rules in a courteous manner
- Participate in the recruitment and training of new lifeguards
Qualifications
- Advanced lifeguard certification and water safety instructor certification
- Minimum of 3-5 years of lifeguarding experience, with previous supervisory experience preferred
- Exceptional swimming abilities and physical fitness
- Current first aid and CPR certification
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage a diverse team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to remain calm under pressure
- Thorough knowledge of water safety regulations and procedures
- Understanding of beach and pool management practices
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Vietnamese or other languages is advantageous
