We are looking for a skilled and proactive Standard PHP Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will develop and maintain high-quality PHP applications, optimize system performance, and contribute to the overall success of our projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring clean code, scalable architectures, and efficient implementations while following industry best practices.
In this role you will
- Develop, maintain, and optimize PHP-based applications.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-structured PHP code, following best practices and design patterns.
- Work with databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL for data management and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with front-end developers and integrate APIs efficiently.
- Conduct code reviews, refactor code within feature scope, and maintain high-quality coding standards.
- Implement automated testing strategies to ensure reliability and stability.
- Utilize Git for version control and CI/CD pipelines for software deployment.
- Follow security best practices, with a fundamental awareness of OWASP top 10.
- Identify areas for system improvement and proactively propose optimizations.
What you will bring
- 3+ years of experience in PHP development.
- Strong understanding of PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
- Proficiency in using version control systems like Git.
- Experience working with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and optimizing queries.
- Familiarity with caching mechanisms and logging/monitoring tools.
- Ability to analyze client requirements and implement efficient solutions.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration within development teams. Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
