Position Available: Product Designer & Drawer
Location: Vietnam (100% REMOTE)
Reporting to: Headquarters in Vancouver, British Columbia (REMOTE)
Role Overview
Rove Concepts is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Product Designer & Drawer to join our Design team. In this role, you will bring ideas to life through sketching, 3D modeling, and rendering, contributing directly to the development of our high-end modern furniture collection. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate design concepts into accurate technical drawings and prototypes, ensuring designs align with our brand standards of timeless, quality craftsmanship.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with the Product Development team to design and develop innovative furniture concepts from idea to production.
- Produce detailed sketches, 3D models, and technical drawings to clearly communicate design intent.
- Create high-quality renderings and models for internal reviews and external presentations.
- Utilize Solidworks and/or AutoCAD to prepare accurate technical specifications for manufacturing.
- Ensure design feasibility by considering production methods, materials, and costs.
- Review and compare prototypes against product references, identifying discrepancies and suggesting improvements.
- Work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders to ensure designs meet quality and functionality standards.
- Adapt to shifting project priorities and move efficiently between design tasks.
- Apply creativity and curiosity to solve problems and continuously improve design outcomes.
- Contribute as a collaborative team member, upholding professional integrity and supporting department goals.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or related field.
- 2–3 years of industry experience preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in sketching, 3D sketching, rendering, and model making.
- Proficiency with Solidworks and/or AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of furniture design and production is a strong asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to follow precise direction while contributing creative insights.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to move efficiently from task to task.
- A collaborative team player with initiative, curiosity, and a growth mindset.
- A strong eye for detail in identifying design differences and evaluating product references.
