Scope
The goal of the Professional Services team is to create competitive advantage through clinical education and professional support services to drive sales growth. The four components of professional services are; clinical education, Key Opinion Leader (KOL) relationship development and management, external organisation support and university support.
The Professional Service Specialist is responsible to develop and execute CE programs to educate employees, dealers, external customers, and dental professionals on the proper use of our dental materials and devices.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
- Implement location Professional Service strategies and plans to deliver location results.
- Drive forward clinical best practice. Keep marketing team informed about clinical information that will be useful for the development of plans.
Clinical Training
- Implement, deliver, and monitor Dental IQ programs to increase the clinical expertise and product knowledge in the organization.
- Organize training program as scheduled, ensuring proper set up of the venue, demo kit, materials and equipment, product focus and targeted participants as well as the facilitators / speakers and his/her evaluation review
- Have proper tools (i.e. in class role plays and joint calls) to track sales team product know – how and demo skills.
- Provide product training & technical knowledge for new hires.
- Consistently evaluate the training program and update the training materials to be in line with market needs.
- Conduct regular Continuous Education Program for some key customers.
- Resolve problems related to the technical & product issues addressed by customers and sales reps (visit by request)
- Provide in-field product coaching to both internal and external stakeholders, as required.
- Visit customer with sales reps / managers or independently to promote products as required.
New Products
- Assist Asia marketing for new product evaluation and launch planning.
- Give advice on the choice of new products and clinical projects to be launched in Location.
- Provide feedback on features and benefits of new products and share analysis to marketing team.
- Implement plans for clinical development in the location
Reporting & Analysis
- Track and report on professional services projects and activities as required.
Product and Process Knowledge
- Via self-directed learning, proactive and effective involvement in training and development, and market research, ensure ongoing currency of; product and market knowledge, sales skills, systems knowledge, and internal processes.
- Ensure understanding and adhere to all compliance requirements. Building and protecting the Company’s brand as a company with ‘unquestionable integrity’.
- Stay informed of current developments in clinical and scientific communities in dental areas.
Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
- Deliver programs to drive KOL development and skills that ensure long term relationships with Dentsply and Dentsply products as well as sales budget attainment
- Ensure KOL adherence to country legislation and corporate procedures, policies and codes of conduct
- Implement the University programs for the location in accordance with business needs and divisional strategies.
Compliance
- Ensures that all local scientific, promotional and commercial activities respect internal, national ethical guidelines.
- Track and report on location activities to ensure full compliance and reporting in regard to Professional Service activities.
- Report obligatory and required information to the proper authorities.
Typical Background
- Requires Bachelor’s degree in dentistry or a similar medical area.
- 1-2+ years commercial experience.
- field sales experience an advantage.
- Excellent English proficiency
- Excellent presentation and training ability.
