Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize and coordinate container dryage operations to ensure timely collection and delivery of containers.
- Ensure on-time delivery by optimizing routes and complying with industry regulations and requirements (USA).
- Interact effectively with drivers, port services, warehouses and customers.
- Track container movement and update statuses in the dispatching system in real time.
- Optimize routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Resolve operational issues including delays, equipment shortages and driver inquiries.
- Track and manage downtime, demurrage and other charges to minimize them.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports on operations and performance indicators.
Requirements:
- Practical experience in freight forwarding or as a container dispatcher in the USA, Australia or Canada.
- Deep knowledge of port operations, container logistics and transport legislation (USA).
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
- Proficiency in English at level C1/C2.
- Experience with dispatching software and the Microsoft Office package.
- Active, self-organized team player.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including early shifts and weekends when needed.
Working conditions:
- Full-time remote. Zoom attendance required.
- Monday – Friday (6:00 AM – 4:00 PM PST)
