Role Purpose
The Security Analyst protects digital assets, client data, and intellectual property by designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security systems. This role ensures cyber resilience by preventing breaches, supporting compliance, and enabling creative and operational teams to innovate without security constraints. Through proactive monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement, the Security Analyst plays a critical role in maintaining client trust and safeguarding the company’s reputation.
Main Objectives
Maintain continuous monitoring and defense of critical networks, systems, and data.
Detect, investigate, and resolve security incidents within agreed response times.
Drive vulnerability management and remediation across assigned systems and environments.
Responsibilities
Monitor security systems, perform threat hunting, and tune anomaly detection rules.
Investigate and classify security incidents; conduct impact and damage assessments.
Measure the effectiveness of security tools; recommend and deploy improvements.
Execute vulnerability scans, track gaps, and coordinate remediation.
Develop and maintain IT security policies and supporting guidelines.
Perform internal security assessments and application security reviews.
Stay current with IT security trends, tools, best practices, and standards.
Administer vulnerability management tools and optimize reporting outputs.
Map assessment activities to frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
Support phishing and malware analysis during incident investigations.
Advise business and technical teams on security-aware processes.
Build effective relationships with international teams, business partners, and service providers to meet security objectives.
Candidate Profile
Education & Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (relevant IT experience will be considered).
Security certifications are a strong nice-to-have (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, CISM, CISA, GSEC, GCIH, GPEN, GCFA).
Professional Experience
Minimum 5 years in information security or IT infrastructure with a security focus.
At least 2 years in technical network and system administration.
Familiarity with security controls, processes, and principles across IT environments.
Technical Skills
Knowledge of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts.
Experience with vulnerability management tools and reporting optimization.
Ability to perform technical security assessments and align activities to industry frameworks.
Behavioral Competencies
Strong communication skills, able to work effectively in an international team.
Independent decision-making capability.
Collaborative approach with the ability to manage relationships across departments and service providers.
Knowledge Domain
Cybersecurity monitoring and incident response.
