About the role
The Data Entry Operator is responsible for accurately and efficiently entering, updating, and maintaining data in various systems and databases. This role requires strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to handle large volumes of data. Data Entry Operator will work closely with other departments to ensure that all data is entered and processed correctly and on time.
What you'll do
Data Verification
- Cross-check the entered data with original source documents to ensure accuracy.
- Review the database for any duplicate entries and remove or merge them as necessary.
- Ensure that all data follows the required formatting guidelines (e.g., date formats, currency, units).
- Identify and flag any incomplete or missing data and take steps to retrieve or correct it.
- Compare data across different systems or databases to ensure consistency and synchronization.
- Analyze the data for any unusual values or outliers that may indicate incorrect or improperly entered data.
Documentation
- Keep a log of all changes, updates, and corrections made to the data, ensuring an audit trail is available for future reference.
- Regularly update data entry logs with information on completed tasks, progress, and any issues encountered during the data entry process
- Ensure that all documentation duties comply with company standards, regulatory requirements, and data protection laws.
Coordination
- Communicate regularly with team members to ensure smooth data entry workflows and address any issues related to task allocation.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely receipt of source documents or data that needs to be entered or updated.
- Provide regular updates to supervisors or managers on the status of data entry tasks, including any challenges or delays encountered.
What you'll need to succeed
- 4+ years of experience as a Data Entry operator.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Have good knowledge or experience in SQL.
- College certificate or bachelor’s degree in a business/data-related major.
- English communication.
