Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Kubernetes Engineer to support development teams and lead the configuration of production-grade container orchestration solutions. This role focuses heavily on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and requires hands-on expertise with advanced Kubernetes tooling and practices, including Helm, Istio Service Mesh, eBPF, Prometheus, Grafana, and multi-cluster management and disaster recovery (DR).
Core Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters with a focus on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Support development teams in containerizing applications and optimizing deployment pipelines.
- Implement and manage Helm charts for application packaging and deployment.
- Configure and maintain Istio Service Mesh for traffic routing, security, and observability.
- Utilize eBPF for advanced observability, networking, and performance tuning.
- Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting systems using Prometheus and Grafana.
- Architect and manage multi-cluster Kubernetes environments, ensuring scalability and high availability.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery (DR) strategies for Kubernetes workloads.
- Collaborate with DevOps, security, and development teams to ensure best practices in container orchestration.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience, focusing on Azure Kubernetes
- Proven experience in container orchestration and cloud-native infrastructure.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Proficiency with Helm, Istio, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Experience with eBPF for observability and performance optimization.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, including multi-cluster management and DR planning.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
- Excellent troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
Technical Skills
- Certifications such as CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) or CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer).
- Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS EKS, GCP GKE).
- Familiarity with service mesh alternatives (e.g., Linkerd).
- Knowledge of security best practices in Kubernetes environments.
