The role
- Proactively introduce new service processes and automation tools to improve productivity
- Guide, mentor, and develop a team of skilled software engineers
- Build a technical knowledge base of architectural lessons learned, patterns, and common libraries
- Make technical decisions that constrain the overall design and implementation for the project
- Train/explain architectural ideas to team members
- Provide advice for system-level technical problems
- Any assignments from the Line Manager, if any.
What you bring to the team
- 3+ years of experience in software development and the ability to lead a development team is a plus
- Strong experience in design and development for large-scale projects with expert-level skills in .NET Core, ORM, Oracle, SQLMI, Postgres, API Design, system design, error handling, and Microservices (Java and Spring is a plus)
- Extremely strong general IT knowledge (applications development, testing, deployment, operations, documentation, standards, best practices, security, hardware, networking, OS, DBMS, middleware, etc.)
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills; ability to gather and analyze disparate information from multiple sources into meaningful insights and associated action plans
- Quality and on-time oriented mindset
- Passionate about driving new technology solutions
- Strong communication and customer interface skills; good command of English
- Experience working in the insurance domain is a plus.
