Zalo Mini App Platform is an open platform that enables partners to build lightweight applications integrated into the Zalo ecosystem (used by millions of users daily). We are looking for a Backend Engineer (Java) to build reliable and high-performance backend services powering these Mini Apps. You will work closely with product and frontend teams to develop backend services, design system architecture, and ensure the platform scales securely and efficiently.
What you will do
- Design and implement high-performance, scalable, low-latency backend services using Java;
- Build and maintain internal services and APIs that support Mini App functionalities;
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code;
- Collaborate closely with the Product team to define, customize, and deliver user-facing features;
- Optimize system performance, handle high concurrency, and ensure platform reliability.
What you will need
- From 1+ year of experience in backend development (Java);
- Experience working with MySQL, and exposure to NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis);
- Good understanding of data structures and algorithms;
- Experience with system optimization, scalability, caching, and distributed systems is a plus;
- Understanding of RESTful API design and best practices;
- Familiarity with frontend (JavaScript/ReactJS) is a plus but not required;
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
