We seek Roku Software Developers who shares our passion for innovation and change. This role is critical to helping our business partners evolve and adapt to consumers' personalized expectations in this new technological era.
You will get the chance to:
- Write client-side code for streaming applications, demonstrating the ability to use industry-standard tools and technologies.
- With guidance from senior engineers, actively contribute to a collaborative team environment. Participate in all aspects of development, including reading and writing technical documentation, participating in code reviews, troubleshooting issues, and supporting releases. Communicate effectively with engineers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment, engaging in various meetings and working sessions
What will help you succeed:
- 2+ years of experience in developing and releasing software products and/or services.
- Proficiency in client-side scripting languages such as JavaScript or Python; experience with BrightScript and SceneGraph is a plus.
- Experience developing for streaming devices like Roku, FireTV, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Comfortable collaborating using Git for version control. Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
