Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Uniform Linen Attendant to join our hospitality team in the beautiful island of Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As a Linen Attendant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation for our guests' linens and textiles.
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and folding machines
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold various types of linens, including bedsheets, towels, and tablecloths
- Inspect linens for stains, tears, or other damage, and take appropriate action
- Maintain accurate inventory of linens and supplies
- Perform basic mending and sewing tasks as needed
- Ensure proper storage and organisation of clean linens
- Collaborate with housekeeping staff to meet linen demands efficiently
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to the supervisor
- Assist in training new team members on linen care procedures
Qualifications
- Secondary school education or equivalent
- Previous experience in housekeeping or laundry services is preferred
- Proficiency in operating laundry equipment and understanding of fabric care techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads
- Basic mending and sewing skills
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and practices
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Hospitality certifications are advantageous but not required
- Basic English language skills are beneficial
