Role
The Wellness Movement Instructor plays a vital role in delivering holistic, transformative experiences through customized movement sessions while actively contributing to the seamless operation of the spa, fitness, and reception areas. This role requires a dynamic, guest-centric individual with the adaptability to lead diverse wellness classes and assist in luxury service delivery across departments. In addition to facilitating dynamic wellness classes, the instructor helps optimize spa performance, supports cross-functional operations, and fosters team development and colleague growth. The Wellness Movement Instructor will report directly to the Assistant Spa Manager.
Responsibilities
- Design and lead diverse wellness programs (yoga, Pilates, stretching, breathwork, and meditation) tailored to guest needs.
- Provide one-on-one consultations and post-session guidance to support individual wellness journeys.
- Assist daily spa operations, ensuring all areas and equipment meet brand and hygiene standards.
- Educate guests on posture, movement principles, and mindful practices for long-term well-being.
- Ensure hygiene across all movement areas and guarantee equipment is safe and properly maintained.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, trends, and legal regulations.
- Collaborate with Spa Management and Reception to maintain seamless service and spa operations.
- Monitor and enforce fitness facility rules, policies, and guest safety procedures to uphold operational standards.
- Support the promotion and upselling of spa treatments and retail products at the reception area to enhance guest experience and drive revenue.
- Address complaints professionally, log feedback, and manage operational records, including incident reports and prescriptions.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in luxury wellness or fitness operations, ideally within a resort or high-end spa environment.
- Strong knowledge of movement modalities and fitness facility protocols, with a hands-on approach to wellness programming.
- Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate guest needs, programming shifts, and seasonal demands.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Innovative and guest-centric mindset in designing personalized fitness programs and holistic wellness experiences.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring consistency and quality in every guest interaction and training session.
