Position Overview
We are seeking a highly accountable and detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to join our dynamic Finance and Accounting team. Working Hours This is a full-time, 100% remote position requiring 40 hours per week, as follows:
- Monday: Evening Shift 8:00 PM to 12:00 AM Vietnam Time (4 hours)
- Tuesday-Friday:
- Morning Shift: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Vietnam Time (4 hours)
- Evening Shift: 8:00 PM to 12:00 AM Vietnam Time (4 hours)
- Saturday: Morning Shift: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Vietnam Time (4 hours)
- Zoom meetings required during working hours.
Salary: 14.000.000 – 18.000.000 VND/month
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll on schedule, ensuring all employees are paid 100% accurately and on time.
- Analyze reports to calculate department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in a timely and precise manner.
- Apply advanced Excel skills for KPI and payroll calculations.
- Responsible for accurate payroll recording to ensure all accounting entries are correct and error-free; training will be provided.
- Stay up to date with payroll law and regulatory updates, implementing process adjustments within 2 business days of any changes.
- Respond to payroll inquiries from employees, resolving all issues clearly and courteously within 24-48 hours.
- Cross-train with HR and Finance to ensure payroll continuity during staff absences.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by managers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of proven experience as a Payroll Accountant or in a similar role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced in using QuickBooks (training provided as required).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of US accounting practices, including payroll cycles, wage structures, contractor (1099) regulations, and related compliance requirements (training provided as needed).
- Proactive, ethical, solution-focused, and committed to meeting deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- English proficiency at intermediate level or above; higher proficiency is a plus.
- Experience working remotely is a plus.
