What you´ll do
Regulatory Compliance:
- Oversee compliance with local (e.g., Law on Chemicals, Law on Environmental Protection) and international chemical, environmental, and product safety regulations (e.g., REACH, GHS).
- Manage regulatory submissions, audits, and communications with authorities, regulatory advocacy and government relations.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of regulated substances and product certifications.
- License and Permit of Chemical regulatory and Trade compliance management.
- Lead chemical product registration and declaration activities in Vietnam and export markets
- Liaise with government agencies (e.g., MoIT, MONRE, customs) for permits, audits, and inspections
Internal Compliance & Governance:
- Establish and maintain internal compliance frameworks, policies, training programs, and internal audit schedules
- Conduct risk assessments and internal audits to identify and mitigate compliance gaps.
- Investigate non-compliance issues and implement corrective actions
- Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with import/export control regulations including chemical declarations, HS code accuracy, customs, etc.
Cross-functional Leadership:
- Collaborated with Business, Operations, and cross-functional teams—including Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, HR, and Sustainability—to drive integrated compliance efforts.
- Oversaw external consultants to ensure full regulatory compliance while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Represent the company in industry forums and regulatory working groups.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior compliance staff.
What makes you a good fit
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, or sustainability.
- In-depth knowledge of Vietnamese chemical regulations and strong understanding of global regulatory frameworks and compliance standards.
- Proven leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the chemical and manufacturing.
- Professional certifications.
- Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks.
Working Conditions: Office-based with occasional travel to supplier sites, regulatory meetings, or industry events.
