The Senior Associate Divisional Controls is a common point of expertise and provides first line controls, compliance and risk assurance support to management of their aligned business. This role is critical in driving risk and controls awareness and supporting the business stakeholders to meet risk and compliance obligations.
This role will be specifically aligned to the Technology & Enterprise Operations (T&EO) Chief Operating Office (COO). However, assistance may be required in other parts of the T&EO division including Enterprise Technology.
A. Main Responsibilities
Operational risk, impact assessment and change within the Division
Compliance obligation monitoring and obligation assessment completion support
Advising business leaders on the application of the operational risk and compliance management framework to evaluate risks in order to achieve business outcomes
Engaging and managing stakeholders to implement and improve business systems and processes through the use/integration of the risk and compliance framework
Working with the business to implement systems and controls to manage the requirements of operational risk and compliance policies which apply to the business
Risk profiling: assisting with management and reporting of the relevant risks and supporting metric
Designing controls: assisting to identify the right key controls to mitigate key risks and obligations applicable to the business
Supporting the business to complete compliance obligations assessments
Engaging the relevant Enterprise Controls communities for expert assistance as appropriate
Providing business specific input and context to: Risk deep dive reviews; Internal Audit reviews; Assurance reports; Action plans for ineffective operational controls
Support the design, maintenance and / or uplift team processes, tools and methodologies
Pro-actively identifying, driving and supporting continuous improvement and evolution of other NAB controls assessment processes and toolsets
Participating in Enterprise Controls Communities of Practice
Reporting, analytics and insight production
Fulfil other tasks as assigned by your People Leader and/or authorized representative of NAB Vietnam from time to time.
B. Qualification Requirements
Tertiary qualification in a relevant technology/business-related discipline (or equivalent 1st Line of Defence risk and compliance experience).
5+ years’ experience in operational risk and compliance management.
Thorough knowledge of risk management and compliance disciplines
Strong level of English proficiency
Proven experience in operating effectively and delivering solutions in large complex organisations, working and influencing across teams and domains.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills- including reporting and analysis. Able to work with senior stakeholder management.
Exposure to documenting controls through design workshops, control reviews and/or process walkthroughs.
Risk management and compliance disciplines.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Time Management and self-starter who can work independently.
