Why This Role is Exciting:
The Advocacy Operations Director is a pivotal leadership role within the Vietnam WPP Onefluence, responsible for designing, optimizing, and leading the end-to-end operational framework for content delivery, creator relationships, and social commerce initiatives. This role is at the forefront of evolving how L'Oréal engages with creators and drives impact, moving beyond traditional campaign execution to establish scalable, cost-efficient, and compliant operational models that adapt to the dynamic landscape of social media and social commerce. This includes cultivating and managing strategic relationships with established Creator Houses and rising monopoly players in the creator ecosystem, ensuring L'Oréal maintains a competitive edge and access to top-tier talent and innovative formats.
This position demands a deep understanding of the entire content and commerce value chain, a strategic grasp of the creator ecosystem, exceptional stakeholder management across internal and external partners (including finance, legal, and payment providers), and a profound passion for influencer marketing and the beauty industry. You will not only ensure operational excellence for current campaigns but also architect the future operational blueprint for advocacy, driving innovation in process, technology adoption, and creator relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Operational Leadership G Model Development
- Design and establish the overarching operational model for L'Oréal's advocacy initiatives, encompassing content creation, distribution, creator management, compliance, and financial processes.
- Proactively identify and implement new operational frameworks and best practices to support evolving advocacy formats (e.g., live commerce, new social platforms, emerging creator types) and business models, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Orchestrate and align multi-stakeholder efforts across finance, legal, payment partners, technology teams, and execution teams to seamlessly implement new operational processes and initiatives.
- Develop and refine the costing model for advocacy activities, providing strategic recommendations to optimize spend and demonstrate ROI across diverse creator engagements and campaign types.
- Lead the strategic approach for engaging with network vendors, specialized influencer companies, and crucially, established Creator Houses and rising monopoly players in the creator ecosystem. This includes developing customized partnership models that drive mutual value, secure preferential access, and ensure efficiency.
- Have a full understanding of market landscape, creator pool, and performance vis-à-vis costs to support the team in delivering campaigns that are effective and efficient.
- Recommend best approaches to drive long-term relationships with creators that drive cost and performance advantages for L’Oréal.
Operational Excellence G Innovation
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the dedicated L'Oréal advocacy agency team (approximately 20+ talents), ensuring high performance and adherence to established (and evolving) operational standards.
- Continuously review, revise, and optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency, compliance, and delivery speed, proactively adapting to market changes and L'Oréal's strategic priorities.
- Liaise closely with the Tech team to drive the strategic adoption and integration of relevant tools and technology that significantly impact work delivery, productivity, and data insights.
- Proactively forecast workload, payments, and other factors that may directly or indirectly impact campaign delivery commitments, implementing preventative measures.
- Troubleshoot complex campaign or creator concerns in a timely manner, developing systemic solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Stay up-to-date with market creator activations, emerging trends, and community best practices within the content marketing and influencer marketing landscape, translating these into actionable operational improvements.
- Fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and operational agility within the team.
Client Servicing G Strategic Partnership
- Cultivate and maintain strong strategic relationships with senior L'Oréal stakeholders, especially the L’Oréal Advocacy Client Lead and Internal Compliance Team, acting as a trusted advisor on operational strategy.
- Collaborate with L'Oréal stakeholders to define annual ambitions, objectives, and creator relationship and activation plans, ensuring operational feasibility and strategic alignment.
- Ensure client satisfaction by consistently delivering high-quality work and exceeding expectations, proactively identifying and addressing client challenges and opportunities.
- Lead regular client interactions, including monthly performance reviews, providing data-driven insights and actionable recommendations on operational performance and strategic evolution.
Commercial Acumen G Compliance
- Track and manage L'Oréal's billings, ensuring healthy cash flow and timely payment to creators and partners.
- Ensure that all payment responsibilities to partners are accounted for and addressed in a timely manner, establishing robust financial reconciliation processes.
- Conduct regular audits of transactions to ensure adherence to strict compliance standards, collaborating closely with Internal Compliance to define and enforce evolving compliance metrics and processes.
- Develop and implement strategies for cost efficiency and better creator management through strategic negotiations and innovative creator management programs.
Team Leadership G Development
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the dedicated L'Oréal advocacy agency team (approximately 50+ talents).
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional development and building a high-performing, adaptable operational team.
- Collaborate with other internal teams to ensure seamless execution of campaigns and initiatives.
Desired Skills and Experiences:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, with a strong preference for experience in Media C Influencer Agencies, or leading in-house advocacy/social commerce operations.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and scaling operational modelswithin a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Exceptional strategic thinking with the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable operational plans and processes.
- Deep understanding of the beauty industry and influencer marketing landscape (highly preferred), including emerging social commerce trends and creator monetization models.
- Demonstrated ability to orchestrate multi-stakeholder alignment across finance, legal, technology, and external partners.
- Strong experience in building and managing strategic partnerships with key creator entities, including Creator Houses and large-scale influencer networks.
- Excellent experience in creator relations management and excellent people skills to build equity with partners and negotiate effectively.
- Exceptional client management and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and articulate complex operational strategies.

- Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of influencing at all levels.
- Proven leadership ability, with experience managing, motivating, and developing large, high- performing teams.
