1. Business Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute long-term strategic objectives for the freight forwarding unit.
- Drive market expansion and identify new revenue opportunities (e.g., trade lanes, verticals, partnerships).
- Report regularly on KPIs and business outcomes to executive stakeholders.
2. Operational & Commercial Management
- Ensure smooth and efficient management of air, ocean, road, and multimodal freight services.
- Oversee procurement and carrier/vendor relationships.
- Monitor service levels, lead times, and operational performance.
3. Financial Control
- Take full P&L responsibility for the division.
- Manage budgets, cost structures, and financial reporting.
- Identify and implement profitability improvement initiatives.
4. People & Culture
- Lead cross-functional teams (operations, sales, customs, finance).
- Develop high-performing leadership and mid-management teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and service excellence.
5. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to global and local regulatory frameworks (e.g., customs, trade compliance).
- Mitigate operational, legal, and reputational risks.
