Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Process, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience as a Global Supply Manager.
- Experience with finance and analytics, cost modeling, and discussing agreements.
- Experience with new product introduction and managing capital equipment vendors for testing and automation.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or MBA.
- Experience in consumer product hardware development.
- Experience in Design For Manufacturing (DFM).
- Experience with international business customs.
- Ability to interpret legal documents and work with the Legal team to complete agreements.
- Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin fluently to support business relationship management across regions.

In this role, you will set up and execute a cross-functional equipment vendor selection process with Operations and Engineering teams. A key focus will be on commercial negotiations, aiming for cost-optimized capital equipment and vendor support services. Ensuring sufficient capacity for equipment production and on-time delivery is also crucial. Furthermore, support will be provided to Engineering teams for developing customized production processes and securing vendor assistance during the production line ramp-up. You'll work closely with Legal, Finance, and Trade and Compliance teams to establish agreements for a flexible supply chain.

Responsibilities
- Develop strategic equipment and fixture vendors partnerships for cross-programs to further commercial and operational priorities.
- Negotiate equipment and fixtures to support build readiness across ongoing, concurrent development builds, directly with vendors or indirectly through contract manufacturing partners.
- Partner with Operations and Engineering to drive capital equipment strategies across Google Hardware and manage existing assets and investments.
- Engage Engineering, Operations and vendors in technical discussions to optimize capital investment through design, processes and supply chain management.
