Objectives
We are seeking a Head of Sales Operations to lead the SME Business Unit, overseeing the entire sales operations function, driving sustainable revenue growth while building robust sales and operational systems for SME sector. This role requires a proven track record in business development and sales leadership. You will be responsible for scaling BD efforts, managing sales pipelines, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering P&L results.
Job Description
Build operation model
- Build and upgrade the strategy to deliver aggressive growth for the unit.
- Set ambitious business objectives and development goals, develop a detailed business plan, and implement effective action plans for achieving set targets.
- Monitor market trends, demand vs. supply, and make adjustments in terms of strategy and planning where necessary.
- Conduct analysis to generate insight and recommend changes as may be required.
Business Development & Sales Leadership
- Develop and execute a high-impact sales & BD strategy tailored to SME clients.
- Drive acquisition of 1,000+ clients by designing and implementing scalable BD systems and pipelines.
- Lead and optimize the full sales cycle—from prospecting to conversion—with targeted campaigns and processes.
- Monitor and refine BD metrics across the funnel.
Team Building & Performance Management
- Design an organizational structure to support sales and BD excellence.
- Hire, train, and mentor a high-performing BD team with specialized focus on target verticals.
- Establish clear KPIs and performance evaluation mechanisms, rewarding top performers.
Financial Oversight
- Own P&L for the SME unit—forecast revenue and control costs for profitability.
- Ensure day-to-day operations align with strategic financial goals and standards.
Job Requirements
Experience:
- 5+ years in sales/business development, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven success in scaling sales teams and serving 1,000+ SME clients.
- Strong exposure to SaaS, fintech, edutech, HR tech, or other SME-facing businesses.
- Solid experience with BD systems, CRMs, and structured sales processes.
