Key Responsibilities

Client & Delivery Success

• Lead projects to deliver agreed scope, on time and within budget, at the promised level of quality.
• Act as the primary client contact at the project delivery level, building strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Proactively manage project risks, issues, and changes to minimize delivery impact.
• Oversee day-to-day project activities and milestone tracking.
• Apply Agile principles and practices (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Lean UX, CI/CD, DevOps).
• Prepare and maintain delivery plans, stakeholder maps, and programme-level documentation.
• Provide delivery leadership across the lifecycle, including kick-off, execution, closure, and retrospectives.

Financial Management

• Ensure accurate forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Ensure our project management tools (Vertec and Insight) are kept current with high quality timely entries.
• Own project-level margin targets and drive commercial success in alignment with business goals.
• Balance client requirements with Zuhlke’s financial targets through entrepreneurial thinking.

People Leadership

• Build, lead, and grow high-performing delivery teams across disciplines.
• Promote a healthy project culture, team engagement, and psychological safety.
• Provide performance feedback and support development plans for Zuhlke employees.
• Mentor junior Delivery Managers and foster a learning environment within the team.

Internal & Strategic Contribution

• Support pre-sales activities with Business Development and Account Leads.
• Align project resource needs with broader capability and capacity planning.
• Contribute to capability building within the Delivery Management Practice.
• Travel occasionally to client or regional offices if needed.

What We Look For

Experience & Skills

• Demonstrated success managing small to large-scale delivery projects.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience with various project contract types (T&M, fixed price, outcome-based).
• Familiarity with production-grade systems, including 24/7 support environments.
• Confident in guiding cross-functional, Agile teams.

Technical & Methodological Competence

• Deep understanding of Agile at scale: SAFe, Lean Portfolio Management, Scrum, Kanban.
• Practical experience in chartering, backlog management, and programme planning.
• Exposure to service design, user-centred design, quality assurance, and operations.
