Based in Pure Storage Inc’s factory – Hanoi, Vietnam
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Logistics & Trade Compliance, the Logistics & Trade Compliance Coordinator will assist in all aspects of Pure’s import/export customs clearance. Also assist in export and import licensing and compliance requirements in accordance with U.S. and EU, Government laws and regulations and Pure’s corporate policies and procedures and have direct experience with global consumer product regulations to support our rapidly growing and evolving business.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...
Interacts with stakeholders internal to the organization and external customs on routine global trade control matters:
- Prepare import/export customs documents as required for clearance.
- Coordinate freight forwarder for collection at factory.
- Provide support in the audits of export & import shipping records.
- Ensures record keeping of export classifications, commodity jurisdictions, licenses, transactional records and training programs.
- Provides input to the development and update of Pure’s processes and procedures.
- Identify and resolve day-to-day trade compliance matters.
- Ensure that regional regulatory requirements are met for products shipped to/from Pure’s contract manufacturing sites.
- Collaborate with other functional groups to implement and support Pure’s processes, systems and drive continual improvement and compliance.
- Act as point of contact for advice concerning international import and export regulations, commercial documentation questions and customs clearance.
- Coordinate and support the collection and transportation of RMA shipments
- Support the APAC region HTS classification
- We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Hanoi office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
Preferred Qualifications: What we need to see:
- Three to five years of import/export experience in International regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge and understanding of Incoterms 2020 Rules
- Background of Air Parcel Shipment and Track and Trace systems (e.g. FedEx/DHL/UPS) is a requirement.
- Knowledge of product compliance processes and the interplay with global supply chains.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and ability to dive deep and collaborate with other departments and carriers.
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with their team and the business.
- Previous experience in hi-tech, electronics, consumer goods, or other dynamic technology-driven businesses.
- Great at collaboration, influencing, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Think creatively and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as take direction well and act independently.
- Proficiency in Excel, Words, Google sheet, and other common desktop software applications.
- Knowledge of Netsuite, SFDC a plus.
- Ability to travel if required.
