PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

As PMI focal point at the TPM, manage the relationship with TPM to grant market required volumes on time in full at PMI quality standards, meeting all quantity, quality and costs as per PMI and Contractual standards and in compliance with the relevant local laws and regulations.

Highlight TPM areas of improvement to meet the overall objective and engage with them to develop, activate and follow up on action plans. Actively participate to the local affiliates business management to ease portfolio initiative execution, participate and contribute to all manufacturing related projects and build tactical inventories.Drive the assessment of other cigarette manufacturers for potential business development withinn his/her area in line with scenarios.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Business partnership, collaboration & communication:

  • As PMI focal point manage the relationship with TPM and lead the autonomy building of the business partner towards PMI requirements and standards. Involve necessary PMI support functions to ensure the fulfilment of all PMI standards in terms of quality, production volume, financials, waste, yield and inventories reconciliation.
  • Maintain a close communication with business partners, TPM's management, Government entities and local PM markets, other PMI affiliates.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate business relationships with third parties to contribute towards building a positive image of PMI and integrity with partners, government authorities and other organizations.


2. Unlock the new business opportunities:

  • Under the direction of Local Market, Regional Manufacturing and Supply Chain management establish in close collaboration with Leaf, Product Development, Engineering, Sustainability and Ops finance feasibility studies for new ventures, acquisitions or expansion of existing licenses that reflect evaluation of factories, plant services, machinery, capacity, production costs, organizational


3. Manufacturing & KPI's reporting:

  • Secure monthly production capacities in line with market requirements engaging with TPM production scheduling team and escalating tactfully to secure PMI needs. Guide TPM to ensure full compliance to contractually agreed volume at PMI specified quality and sustainability levels.
  • Define necessary machinery, kits and format parts necessary to cope with new market requirement as well as bridge with PMI support functions to ease such capabilities building.
  • Monitor and ensure the performance of Manufacturing and Quality KPIs. Ensure all products are manufactured in line with latest product specifications. Initiate and drive opportunities for improvement, make recommendations and in conjunction with TPM's personnel implement process improvement and equipment modifications.


4. Product quality & QA system, sustainability:

  • Under the coordination of regional QA team, ensure that all activities within the TPM facilities, meet Operations Management System (OMS) standards and requirements and monitor their deployment and effectiveness.
  • Under coordination of Sustainability stream leader, ensure the implementation of the sustainability programs to ensure compliance with the company’s Environmental, Health, Safety and Security policies. Direct the implementation of local regulations to ensure compliance with the national legislation, act as guardian of PMI Guidebook for Success, and continuously promote ethics and compliance programs.


5. Project management:

  • As Operations local focal point support the PMI local organization to implement successfully the required projects. Involve and coordinate TPM project team in E2E project management as: installation of PMI machinery, KIT installation, machinery upgrade, new SKUs launching, implementation of T&T, etc..
  • Collaborate with CoE (Engineering Center of Expertise) and act as a SPOC (single point of contact) in running manufacturing related projects. Supervise the initial production batches to ensure quality and quantity requirements are adhered.


6. People management:

  • Effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve the line(s) business results. Perform regular coaching to develop capabilities of his/her team in order to build ownership and team autonomy


7. Process improvements:

  • Drive the necessary process improvement, productivity and other initiatives by ensuring a good collaboration between PMI functions and TPM. Monitor the required support through agreed service level agreements, RACI, KPIs, SPOC, etc.


8. Others:

  • Projects/Production/Manufacturing/Planning

- Supply chain & logistic - collaborate with all the stakeholders to ensure LOMD / LOGD are prevented and follow-up the efficiency and effectiveness in DIM & CF management - Communication and collaboration

Job requirements

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent. Any allied science course in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Planning would be a plus
  • 5-8 years knowledge in Manufacturing or Operations related areas such as Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, QA
  • Specific experience knowledge in tobacco manufacturing is an advantage
  • Experience in managing multiples internal and external stakeholders
  • Skilled in communication and leadership
  • Analytical & problem-solving skills
  • MS Office, POWERBI, packages
  • Excellent English command
