We are seeking a Native English Trainer with a strong background in business communication and coaching to help our team members improve their professional English proficiency, particularly for client-facing scenarios. The trainer will deliver engaging group sessions focused on enhancing speaking confidence, presentation skills, and workplace communication, as well as conduct ad hoc coaching sessions for situations like mock interviews, client demo preparation, and handling business conversations.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate group communication classes (average 3 sessions/week), focusing on conversational fluency, presentation delivery, and client interaction.
- Design and deliver interactive lessons that promote confidence, clear articulation, and structured speaking for business settings.
- Conduct ad hoc sessions such as:
- Mock interviews and scenario-based practice for client meetings.
- Role-playing difficult conversations or technical demos, improving conversational flow, and handling objections in business discussions.
- Collaborate with our Talent team to align content with business needs.
- Provide constructive feedback to learners, tailored to their roles (e.g., developers, product owners, team leads).
- Continuously adapt session content based on learner feedback and business context.
Requirements
- Native English speaker with a clear, neutral accent.
- Strong background in teaching English as a second language, with a focus on business and professional communication.
- Experience leading group conversation classes and coaching for professional scenarios.
- Ability to engage learners from technical backgrounds (e.g., software engineers, designers, product owners).
- Comfortable facilitating role-play sessions and providing practical, actionable feedback.
- Based in Ho Chi Minh City for in-person sessions (required for regular group classes). Remote support for ad hoc requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Nice-to-have
- Prior experience in IT, tech, or startup environments.
- Background in coaching soft skills such as presentation, active listening, or conflict resolution.
- TESOL/TEFL/CELTA certification or equivalent business English teaching credentials.
