BRITISH UNIVERSITY VIETNAM (BUV)

British University Vietnam (BUV) is the first and only international university in Vietnam to directly award British degrees from the prestigious University of London and other UK universities. POSITION PURPOSE

The Officer, Transportation Management will assist Senior Officer, Transportation Management to plan the BUV bus schedule, monitor, coordinate and enhance the shuttle bus service quality for BUV students and staffs safely, efficiently, professionally, and economically.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Follow all rules, policies, and procedures of British University Vietnam (BUV), along with regulations pertaining to the Campus Facilities & Services Management.
  • Assist Senior Officer to make a work plan for the bus service coordinator team on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Coordinate with related departments for creating the bus timetable and routing of school buses.
  • Record violation of bus supplier as mentioned in the contract.
  • Work closely with bus service supplier for:
  • Operating and managing daily activities of routes and trips.
  • Quickly handling all arising during operation.
  • Assist Senior Officer to manage passengers at trips and routes, evaluate and propose options to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
  • Receiving calls/ messages/emails to support information about running schedule, running time to answer questions from BUV staffs and students.
  • Assist Senior Officer to conduct daily review of drivers’ performance, making sure the driver has a professional appearance, attitude, behavior and working style.
  • Assist Senior Officer to instruct bus drivers and monitors in safety procedures, always consider the safety of passengers first.
  • Assist Senior Officer to assign bus drivers to routes best suited to the overall transportation needs.
  • Inspecting assigned buses for cleanliness, condition of seats, mechanical and body condition, and vandalism.
  • Assist Senior Officer to schedule drivers for field trips.
  • Finding lost and found items on the bus for BUV students and staffs.
  • Complete reports and keep records, collect documents as required for payment process.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by the Supervisor and/or Line Manager.

Essential

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Prior experience as a transport coordinator or similar role is preferable.
  • Excellence in Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
  • Good at English skills (reading, listening, writing, and speaking).
  • Demonstrate knowledge of record keeping and reporting techniques.
  • Ability to understand and follow rules, oral and written instructions, and regulations.
  • Ability to operate office machines.
