Job Description
Job Purpose
- To lead and oversee payroll operations and ensure all Compensation & Benefits (C&B) practices comply with Vietnamese labor laws and corporate policies.
- This role is responsible for driving process efficiency, strengthening internal controls, ensuring legal compliance and data accuracy, and contributing to the continuous improvement of HR operational services.
Principal Accountabilities
1. Lead C&B Operations
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, personal income tax (PIT), and social insurance to ensure timely and accurate execution in compliance with local laws and corporate standards.
- Coordinate with HRBPs and Finance to validate payroll data and ensure alignment.
- Manage the administration of employee benefits, bonuses, and annual salary reviews while supporting compensation benchmarking initiatives.
2. Ensure Compliance & Policy Alignment
- Stay current with labor law updates and regulatory changes, ensuring all compensation and benefits practices remain fully compliant.
- Advise managers on policy implications and guide the business in applying compensation programs in line with both legal requirements and internal frameworks.
3. Drive HR Operational Excellence & Governance
- Supervise core HR administrative processes including employment contracts, leave and overtime tracking, and personnel record management.
- Oversee compliance for foreign employee contracts.
- Strengthen internal controls, lead C&B audits, and implement risk mitigation measures while continuously enhancing process efficiency and documentation standards.
4. Manage Budgeting & Cost Control
- Oversee C&B budgeting activities, ensuring alignment with business goals and cost targets.
- Provide accurate cost simulations, forecasting, and analysis related to compensation, benefits, and broader HR initiatives.
5. Optimize HR Systems & Reporting
- Collaborate on HRIS enhancements and system improvements related to C&B operations.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and readiness for internal and external reporting.
- Deliver high-quality HR reports and proposals that offer meaningful insights and support decision-making.
6. Enhance Employee Experience
- Ensure prompt and effective resolution of employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits.
- Lead transparent and consistent communication of C&B policies and programs, fostering employee understanding and trust.
7. Lead and Develop the C&B Team
- Supervise the C&B team, providing clear direction, task delegation, and performance oversight.
- Support team development through coaching, training, and career growth opportunities.
- Foster a high-performance culture based on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
8. Support Strategic Projects and Ad-hoc Initiatives
- Contribute to HR and C&B-related projects that support business transformation, efficiency, and engagement.
- Provide support for additional responsibilities as assigned by HR leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related fields.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in HR operations or C&B, preferably in an MNC.
- Solid knowledge of Vietnam labor laws, PIT, social insurance, payroll regulations, and expat affairs.
- Proficiency in Excel, HRIS systems, and payroll software.
- Good English communication, equivalent to B2 (CEFR) or 6.0 and above (IELTS).
Skills & Attitude
- Strong analytical skill and numerical skill; good ability to handle a huge number of data with accuracy and deadline commitment, as well as ability to interpret and draw insights from data in clearly understandable reports and dashboards;
- Good organizational skill and ability to successfully complete multiple projects with changing priorities;
- Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills; ability to influence and persuade others, especially in situations that require diplomacy and tact;
- Results Orientation: a commitment to demonstrably improving team performance; a positive, flexible, and proactive, hands-on with can-do approach;

- Work hours: 08:30 AM - 06:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
