Your Key Responsibilities
• Identification of innovative and novel production solutions on the market and evaluation for potential use in the future Schaeffler production system
• Definition of hardware and software requirements in coordination or collaboration with relevant internal and external stakeholders (suppliers, internal project teams, etc.)
• Development, validation and implementation of specific software/hardware modules for novel, autonomous production technologies (Cobots, AGVs/AMRs)
• Setup (mechanical and electrical) and commissioning of innovative, connected production solutions and validation of defined functional modules in the test field
• Support Designing and printing parts using plastics & metal 3D-printers
• Documentation and presentation of test results
Your Qualifications
• Successfully completed studies in the fields of Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in robotics / automation at large global companies
• Experience in automation, specifically robotics (Industrial Robots, Cobots, and AGVs/AMRs) and IT/software interfaces in manufacturing companies
• Basic knowledge of electromechanical drive systems and robotics, ideally in the area of autonomous robot systems and human-robot collaboration
• Experience in software development in the production environment, preferably in robotics and machine control
• Basic programming skills in ROS, C++, Java, Python
• Basic knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (Deep Learning, Machine Learning) and SPS is an advantage
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles to design and components using CAD systems such as Creo Parametric SolidWorks, AutoCAD etc.
• First experience using 3D-printing technologies
• Very good analytical and conceptual skills, excellent communication skills, independent and self-reliant way of working and ability to work in a team
• Very good English and German skills in spoken and written form
