Role Overview
We’re looking for a passionate Junior Ruby on Rails Developer to join our engineering team and contribute to exciting projects for our international clients. You’ll be working closely with senior developers, product managers, and designers to implement features, solve real-world problems, and continuously learn modern web development best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, test, and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails
- Assist in developing RESTful/GraphQL APIs and integrating mobile app
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Participate in code reviews and learn from feedback
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Frontend, Design, QA)
- Support debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing applications
- Stay updated with Ruby and Rails ecosystem improvements
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- Basic knowledge of Ruby and the Ruby on Rails framework
- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Understanding of Git and version control workflows
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Able to read and write in English for technical work
Nice-to-Have:
- Hands-on experience from personal, freelance, or internship projects
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frontend libraries
- Experience with RSpec, Capybara, or other testing tools
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum workflows
- Knowledge of REST APIs and GraphQL
